Liability Waiver
Required for all course participants
This waiver is incorporated into and must be accepted as part of the course registration process. By completing registration, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in firearms training and live-fire activities involves inherent and serious risks, including but not limited to personal injury, death, and property damage. I understand and accept these risks voluntarily.
2. Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in courses offered by IRONPIT ("The Tools") operated by Liam O'Donnell, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue IRONPIT, Liam O'Donnell, any range facility used, and all associated staff, agents, and representatives from any and all liability arising from my participation, including claims of negligence, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
3. Assumption of Risk
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury that may be sustained as a result of participating in the course. I acknowledge that I am physically and mentally fit to participate.
4. Safety Rules Compliance
I agree to comply with all safety rules, instructions, and commands given by the instructor at all times. I understand that failure to comply with safety protocols will result in my immediate removal from the course without refund and may result in legal liability.
5. Medical Representation
I represent that I do not have any medical condition that would prevent my safe participation in this course. I agree to inform the instructor of any relevant physical limitations prior to the start of training.
6. Legal Eligibility
I represent that I am legally permitted under federal and Illinois state law to possess and handle firearms. I am not a prohibited person under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) or Illinois law. I am 21 years of age or older (or qualify for an applicable exemption).
7. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IRONPIT and Liam O'Donnell from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from my actions, negligence, or failure to comply with safety rules during my participation in the course.
8. Disclaimer on Training Limitations
I understand that completion of this course does not guarantee that I will be issued an Illinois Concealed Carry License. Licensure is determined solely by the State of Illinois based on a separate review process. This training fulfills the educational requirement only. IRONPIT makes no representations regarding the outcome of any license application.
